What is Poker Run and Cooler by the Lake?

Poker Run is a part of our Leukemia Cup Series. As a participant, enjoy a full day of on-the-water activities and a rockin' after party hosted in partnership with Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club! Power boat owners and their guests spend a day on the water, traveling from harbor to harbor collecting playing cards at each to build the best hand. After a pit-stop at Columbia Yacht Club for the happiest happy hour along Lake Michigan, participants return to Montrose Harbor to collect their last card and celebrate for a cause at Cooler by the Lake!

Ways to Participate

From Captaining a boat for on-the-water activities to simply fundraising in support of the LLS mission, there are many ways to get involved and support the 2017 Leukemia Cup Poker Run and Cooler by the Lake!

As a Captain, a $150 registration fee will grant your boat entry into the Poker Run, as well as: one event hat, one event t-shirt, one poker hand, one ticket to Cooler by the Lake and ten raffle tickets - and of course, your very own online personal fundraising page to collect donations!

As a Crew Member, a $50 registration fee will grant you entry to your Captain's boat, as well as one poker hand. You will also receive your very own online personal fundraising page to collect donations - and as soon as you raise an additional $100, you will receive one ticket to Cooler by the Lake!

No boat, no problem! Simply come to the Cooler by the Lake after-party and party for a purpose. For just $100, you can enjoy the food, drink and live music for the entirety of the event.

Can't make the event but still want to support LLS? No problem! Fundraise as an individual and you will receive your own online personal fundraising page to collect donations to advance our mission.

Why Support LLS?

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the country's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to finding a cure for blood cancer, and our mission is just that simple; to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Illinois has the largest incidence of blood cancer diagnoses in the country. Every 3 minutes, someone new is diagnosed with a blood cancer; every 10 minutes, someone dies. Leukemia is the second-most cause of cancer death of children and young adults under the age of 20. It's time to give back and help those in our community. Since its beginning in 1997, the Illinois Leukemia Cup Regatta has grown to an entire series and raised over $3.4 million for the LLS mission. With the generous support of volunteers, donors and participants like you, we are making someday today.
